On opening the the app, check out the 'Tutorial' first to find your way around. Then start the game. You will find six different levels, each with 9 challenges to unlock and each time a different one! . For the first challenge, Angry Word, it’s easy! You need to spell five 3 letter words within two minutes. For the next challenge –The Word Locker – your challenge is to spell words and diffuse a certain number of bombs. The next one - Steven Spielberg – is about scoring at least 5 000 points in 1 minute … The game goes on till the Impossible Challenge where you will …. sorry the kids are not there yet and you will need to play the game to find out what this challenge is about!
Word games apps can be fun and we really liked What the Spell! It is highly interactive, fast spaced and very easy to use. It starts easy and as you move from one challenge to the other challenge it gets a lot harder. The kids at Fun Educational Apps like that there is no need to complete all challenges to move on to the next level. Each level can be played anytime and as often as you want. The game is engaging and addictive as you still need to unlock all challenges within a level! You can play alone or if you prefer you can play against friends and family, or get matched online with multiplayer head-to-head competition via the Game Center leaderboards and achievements.
What the Spelll! offers an easy to use interface. To spell a word you simply need to put your finger on the first letter and drag over the remaining letter. To get more words you can also go back over previously used letter! A cool and unique feature! Each time you spell a word, you get points so look for the longest word to get higher scores.
Overall, What the Spell is a top fun and educational word game. Ideal for spelling and fun to play. It is well designed, easy to use and engaging. It offers six different levels of increasing difficulty and each one has nine challenges. So if you like Word Game Apps …. we highly recommend!

With a focus on beginning letter sounds, this app is a great tool to use with preschoolers just starting to understand letter concepts. Engaging game play and a hungry little monster make this app perfect for the 3-6 year old crowd.
