Wonster Words provides spelling practice using many of the same strategies taught in school, including word families, sound/symbol relationships, and phonics rules. Parents will appreciate the well-organized content; children will enjoy the age appropriate learning games and activities that feature cute little wonsters, which are a cross between monsters, cartoon characters, and aliens.

Have a look:
How the App Works-
Thirteen different modules, representing commonly taught word families (including -ap, -at, -ot, -ut, -op, and -et) and consonant digraphs (including sh, ch, th, and ph), are available in the complete version. There are also two theme modules, which introduce words related to that activity (outdoor adventure and racing, for example).
The modules contain 8 words; each word is divided up into individual sounds, its meaning is shown using animation, and its definition is provided. The decoding skills presented in Wonster Words are included in the Common Core State Standards for kindergarten and first grade.
What Fun Educational Apps Liked-
Wonster Words teaches children how to decode words with confidence. Studies have shown that children who decode well become more fluent readers.
The animations and the technical aspects of the app are definitely kid friendly, and there is just the right blend of instruction and fun to keep the average five or six year old attentive.
In a Nutshell-
Wonster Words is a fun series of lessons that teach young children the fundamentals of phonics. Using the app will familiarize your child with common word families, letter-sound connections, and consonant digraphs (sh, ch, th, ph).
Note: Some of the words included in Wonster Words contain exceptions to the phonics rules and are not pronounced the way they are written. Examples include hike, with a long "i" and a silent "e," climb with a silent "b,” and flood with a short "u" sound for "oo." Presenting words with exceptions to the rules may be confusing for some children.
