Developer Avokiddo is at it again. Thinkrolls 2 is a sequel to the original Thinkrolls, a Top Pick from Fun Educational Apps. Thinkrolls 2 is just as good as the first one. This clever maze app asks players to utilize tools to make their way through vertical maze.
Fun Educational Apps TOP PICK
App for iOS - iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch; Android via Google Play and Amazon Store
Top Pick Thinkrolls 2 by Avokiddo engages children's minds by asking them to work their way through a maze using a variety of tools. Players work their way through the vertical maze stage by stage. Each level introduces a new tool that users must incorporate to make their way through the puzzle. The tools featured in Thinkrolls 2 are different than those in Thinkrolls. This second app is truly an extension of the first Top Pick.

How the App Works-
To begin with, players choose their Thinkroll, cute little characters that roll up into a ball to move through the maze. New characters are unlocked as each level of the maze is completed.
Thinkrolls 2 features some new tools to use in each level.
The first level introduces an accordion. Users must open and close the accordion to bridge gaps or to move to new heights. Level two features a barrel which is used to avoid water obstacles. Level three asks players to use an egg, though users need to be careful to drop eggs only on grassy surfaces so that they don't break. The next stage utilizes fans that can be turned on and off to reach new levels. Level five explores the time and space continuum, utilizing wormholes. Level six uses batteries to give an electrifying shock if the Thinkrolls aren't careful. The last level requires users to turn on the lights or navigate the maze in the dark.
Each level is broken into stages. So if players make a tactical error, they simply have to refresh that stage instead of starting the maze again. Players can also choose, in the parents setting, to move from easy to hard levels. Harder levels require more planning before utilizing the tools available.
What Fun Educational Apps Liked
Much like its predecessor, Thinkrolls 2 is a clever app made for engaging the mind in spatial relations. Geared for children as young as three years old, the app can be used by players of any age. I enjoy that the maze relies partially on gravity, so users don't have to keep their finger constantly on the device. The tools selected for this app are unique and different than those found in other maze apps. I really enjoyed watching my son learn to use the various tools. Because each level is broken into stages, when he made a mistake, it was easy to refresh. He didn't become frustrated by having to redo the entire level again. And let's not forget, how cute the little Thinkrolls are.
In a Nutshell-
This is a Top Pick for me as it is clever and easy to use. Young children can use it to learn about spatial relationships and older players can test themselves as well. The simple premise behind Thinkrolls 2 and the clean execution of the app make it something that my family goes back to time and time again.
