What Fun Educational Apps Liked
This app is just like watching the television version of this popular cartoon. The graphics and interactions are wonderful. The familiar characters and songs are well loved in this house. I love the whole concept of objects shaped like words and the squeezing of letters together to create these objects. We were completely engaged in the entire appisode. With so many ways to interact, we never got bored. From digging in the snow, to searching for letters, to steering Sheep, to splitting up words, there are just so many ways to play and learn. Each activity was different and well developed and just plain fun. The entire app also has an underlying message about the spirit of Christmas and the act of giving. That was a huge lesson for our family this year and I loved finding such a great way to reinforce this message with my son.
Overall, A Christmas Present for Dog is an excellent holiday app with a message of giving that is perfect for anyone with young children. This Top Pick is not only beautifully animated and narrated, but has a wide range of letter and word activities for children to engage in. The entire app flows smoothly and integrates the user into the appisode in a fully interactive learning experience. It has been played many, many times in our house this holiday season.
