Bedtime is often a rough time for parents of little ones. Any app to smooth the transition is a welcome addition to the bedtime routine. Nott Won't Sleep is a cute app that will calm the inner chaos and help young children get ready for bed.
Nott Won't Sleep by Developlay is not a bedtime book, it's more a bedtime activity. Join Nott, an adorable little girl as she fights sleep and says goodnight to all of her friends. This interactive experience helps young ones know that the end of the day is near.
Have a look:
Nott lives high in a tree and her magic pillow must take her from place to place as she says goodnight. Travel to the forest to find all of her friends to say goodnight. Tap the fireflies to begin a game of peek-a-boo. Tap on each forest friend to bring them to the light and wish them good night. The snoring beasties need to be found one by one to tuck them in for the night. Nott also says good night to the moon by tapping on the magical stars to turn him into a full moon. The last place Nott visits is the pond, where she must collect items to help her friend paddle back to the dock.
What Fun Educational Apps Liked
This is a super cute activity for the very young. Toddlers and preschoolers would benefit the most from this. There are no words to this, simply easy, intuitive activities. Tapping on the missing shapes guides users to the next activity. Nott is adorable and the graphics of this app are great. Soothing music also keys children into the idea of calming down and relaxing. I liked the little details like when Nott's eyelids sink lower and lower after each activity as she gets closer and closer to sleep. The app is just plain cute.
Overall, Nott Won't Sleep is just a cute bedtime activity that is great for the very young. It provides a nice routine for parents looking to prepare their children for bed. I can easily see it being used in our home in an effort to calm our own wild beasties.
