What Fun Educational Apps Liked
The Human Body by Tinybop offers a unique experience to introduce young children to the human body anatomy. The first thing you need to know is that at first, the app might be a bit confusing as there is no detailed explanation on how to use it, so we strongly suggest that you dig further as this app offers an amazing educational value.
It is an unusual app and to make the most of the experience, you will need to do a bit of work before going over the app with your kids. We strongly advise you to download the free handbook guide. There you will find hips of information, instructions and ideas on how to make the most of this app.
Once you are familiar with the subject, then go over the app with your children. Encourage them to explore, touch and interact with the app. As you go over each part of the body, let them touch and tap the screen to discover the digestive system and see what happen to the food when we eat and watch how it travels through the digestive system; If you prefer to explore the nervous system use the needle (available from the side bar) and the app will show you how the signal travels through the nervous system to the brain or if your want to learn about the lungs, press the magnifying glass and zoom in to see how oxygen get from the lungs into the blood. One of the kids favourite feature is the eye model. By using the front facing camera of your device it shows children how the eye can capture images. Make sure to take an active role... ask them question such as “Where does air go when you take a breath?”; “What does your heart do?” …
Another great feature that we really enjoyed is the recording mode that enables kids and parents to ask each other questions. A Cool way to engage and encourage kids to explore further.
Overall … a unique learning app offering an extraordinary potential for learning. Some may not like the lack of explanation and would prefer a more straight forward app where you just click and get the info but at Fun Educational Apps we liked the freedom that the app gives you. It encourages children - with the help of a parent or teacher - to explore, discover and spark curiosity. The knowledge your kids will gain it’s up to you! For its innovation and educational value we are adding The Human Boday by Tinybob to our list of TOP PICK!

Find out more about Tinybop:
Tinybop was founded in 2012 by Raul Gutierrez when his decades of experience in the arts and technology intersected with his life as a father. A lifelong lover of books, Raul had childhood memories of long summers spent immersed in libraries with gorgeously illustrated encyclopedias and titles about volcanoes and oceans, ancient worlds and far off islands. These experiences sparked lifelong curiosity and he imbued his kids with the same love of books. But, he also saw how powerfully touchscreens and apps drew his children—and the other kids around them.
Aside from a handful of successful companies, Raul was frustrated by what he found in the educational app market, feeling most options underserved kids’ potential. He saw an opportunity in the medium to spark kids’ curiosity the same way those old encyclopedias once did for him. He knew the unique features of tablets and touchscreens’—like GPS, cameras, and interactivity—could provide the platform to create incredibly immersive learning experiences, complete with the context kids need to navigate big concepts.
