Each difficulty level has the same twelve puzzles, however the challenge changes depending on the number of pieces. Animal puzzles feature: Monkey, Sloth Bear, Tailorbird, Mongoose, Wolf, Indian Bullfrog, King Cobra, Panther, Crocodile, Porcupine, Bat, and Peafowl. Each puzzle is locked until the prior puzzle is completed. Additionally, there is a hidden puzzle once all levels on the monkey scientist level are unlocked. This puzzle involves rotating puzzle pieces to complete the picture.
What Fun Educational Apps Liked
The puzzle pieces on this app are super unique. Once completed, each puzzle features an animated animal, that is named and makes its own sound. The cool thing is that the pieces of the animation remain in motion even before the puzzle is completed. So you may have a bull frog hopping from piece to piece as you try to put the puzzle together. This really ups the difficulty level. Plus, unlike other puzzle apps, this one allows you to put the pieces in the wrong place and doesn't correct you until the puzzle is complete. I liked this because instead of randomly placing pieces until they get sucked into the right location, my son had to actually think about where pieces went. I really like the varying levels of difficulty too. The four and nine piece puzzles are great for my four year old currently, but the other levels will be appropriate as he gets older. I love apps that have good replay value. To top everything off, the animations are just cute. The jump roping panther and the hugging mongoose are just sweet.
Overall, Live Puzzles! Forest Animals is a top pick as a puzzle app because of the unique animations that remain in motion, no matter where the pieces of the puzzle are. The different levels range from easy to hard making this app fun for any age level.
