Ansel and Clair: Exploring the World of Dinosaurs with 2 Outstanding iPad Apps!

Ansel and Clair

Ansel and Clair are at it again with two new apps, Ansel and Clair: JurassicDinosaurs and Ansel and Clair: Triassic Dinosaurs . These apps join Ansel and Clair: Cretaceous Dinosaurs to complete a dinosaur trilogy.

Fun Educational Apps TOP PICKS

For those of you who are new to the Ansel and Clair series, these little adventurers are from the distant planet Vertoos . This time, they are going back to prehistoric times to learn about the dinosaurs that roamed the Earth millions of years ago, and they’re inviting your child along.  For amazing animation and digital effects, for creative, entertaining activities, and for solid, scientific facts, Fun Educational Apps awards
Ansel and Clair: JurassicDinosaurs and Ansel and Clair: Triassic Dinosaurs two Top Picks.

Ansel & Clair- Jurassic Dinosaurs 1
Ansel and Clair: Jurassic Dinosaurs and Ansel and Clair: Triassic Dinosaurs are separate apps available for the iPad and the iPad mini by Cognitive Kids, Inc.   They are being reviewed together because of the similarity of their formats and their close release dates.  The first time either app is opened, your child creates an icon for himself, which will store his progress.  After that is completed, Ansel explains the purpose of their visit as they fly to the Fossil Dig Site.  There, the characters take a rickety elevator down the passageway.  At this point, your child becomes the paleontologist, digging through the rocks and revealing the fossil.  After uncovering and reassembling it, they fly back in time to see what the dinosaurs actually looked like.  Clair, a Vertoosian robot, is the expert here, describing the different dinosaurs and how they survived.  When she is finished, your child can take a picture of the dinosaur to put in his travel log. Have Fun With Apps! … and if your are looking for the latest kids apps deals or the best kids apps finder tool.

What Fun Educational Apps Liked-

Dinosaur books have always been a hit with children.  How much better is it to have an app like this that is animated to show how dinosaurs moved and what they probably sounded like?   Don’t skip the information section for parents, because it explains the many different features- you wouldn’t want to miss anything.  I especially like the “Create your Own Dinosaur” activity. Once formed, the dinosaur can be rotated in such a way that you can see it from all directions.  You can even make it jump, stomp, and roar.

Conclusion-

The first app in the dinosaur trilogy, Ansel & Clair: Cretaceous Dinosaurs, has received awards from the National Parenting Publications Association (NAPPA), the Parents’ Choice Foundation, and Creative Child Magazine.  With these new apps, there is an excellent chance more awards will be coming their way.  How do you decide which one to choose?  In Ansel and Clair: Jurassic Dinosaurs, you will find the apatasaurus, the brachiosaurus, the stegosaurus, and the plesiosaurus.  In Ansel and Clair: Triassic Dinosaurs, you will find the pterosaur, the eoraptor, the plateosaurus, and the ichthyosaur.  Still can’t decide?  My advice is to consider purchasing the entire trilogy.  Together, they guarantee your child hours and hours of educational enjoyment, learning about the giants that once roamed the Earth. They are definite Top Picks.

Ansel and Clair: Jurassic Dinosaurs and Ansel and Clair: Triassic Dinosaurs are both available via the iTunes App Store - iPad and iPad Mini Apps
