Looking for a new math facts app for math skills? Mathificent is a skill and drill app from developer Webucator. Practice your addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division tables with this multi-level math facts game.
Mathificent focuses on math facts practice in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. With math tables from one to twenty, the app moves progressively from table to table as players master each number. Start on the ones table in any operation and answer as many problems as you can on a calculator-like screen, in 60 seconds. In order to unlock the next table you must get at least 25 problems correct. The levels become more customizable as you unlock them. Turn on and off different tables as you master certain facts and need more practice on others.
There is a section showing your record if you are signed in as the user. Try and beat your best score in each operation. Also, if you are having trouble with specific tables, check out the Math Tables section. Each table from one to twenty, in each operation is listed with the correct answers for study and review.
What Fun Educational Apps Liked
This app has very basic game play, making it easy for students to focus on the task at hand: learning math facts. I love that the game goes past the basic one to twelve tables that most schools focus on. It goes all the way to twenty instead. This app goes all the way to twenty, having kids practice facts like 16x17 until they have memorized them. The calculator-like game play makes the app easy to play. If students get the answer wrong, they cannot go on without clearing the wrong answer and putting in the correct answer. I also like that the app doesn't progress until you show mastery of each level. This makes the app versatile enough to use with many different age levels.
Overall, this app is clear and easy to use. It provides math calculation practice for students working from the most basic math tables to much harder levels. It goes beyond the basic levels taught in most schools. Parents and teachers alike will find this an easy way to engage students in practicing math skills.
