Not so long ago we reviewed The Pirate Koostoe ( a Fun Educational Apps Top Pick) the first book app in the “Tales of Midlandia” series and when we got the news about a new app in the series, we were delighted! Today, we are glad to let you know that this new app Builda the Re-Bicycler meets all our expectations!
Builda the Re-Bicycler sets in the island of Midlandia, a strange bicycle-crazy town where if you have the slightest problem with your bike ... You don’t fix it …You just dump it! It has always been like that and now the town’s dump is overflowed. Builda the factory owner realizes the nonsense of the situation and decides to take actions. Some parts of the bikes are still in great working order ... she starts to think and works on a plan to save the town!

Builda the Re-Bicycler is another great storybook app by Midlandia Press. The story is original and tackles a sensitive issue – Recycling - using lots of humour to engage and educate our kids. The kids at Fun Educational apps really enjoyed the story and it helped them understand the need for recycling. make sure to go over the Discussion Questions at the end it opens the door to a great discussion.
The app itself is top quality. Very well designed it is easy to use and offers stunning graphics and animation. The kids at Fun Educational Apps loved the interactive features … make sure to shake your iPad when you are on the page with the dump! All illustration are beautiful and the pan and zoom effect make it even better.
The app offers 3 reading modes: Read by Myself, Auto Play, Read to me. Note, the last 2 options offer word highlights to help young reader to read along. The narration is great, clear, crisp and very professional with lots of expression and intonation to captivate your kids through out the story.
Overall, Builda the Re-Bicycler offers an inventive and original story that for sure got all my kids attention. It manages to raise our kid’s awareness about our environment and the need to recycle via a fun and engaging story full of humour. The app itself is top quality … easy to use, stunning graphics and animation and just enough interactive features to keep the kids engaged and entertained. By now, I am sure you guessed …. Builda the Re-Bicycler is another TOP PICK for Fun Educational Apps.
