Are your kids going through a series of “rotten luck” … let them know they are not the only ones and read Super Harry HD with them a cute story about a boy Harry who is experiencing a very bad week! On Monday, he encountered buzzing bees, on Tuesday he tripped, on Wednesday he was almost knocked over by a bus … Everyday something happened! Thanks to his determination he decides to change his luck and takes action to help people. A great week where he becomes a super hero!
Super Harry’s Rotten Luck is a charming storybook app with a great message … If all goes wrong take action and believe you can make things change. It is well written, hand drawn and offers light animation, audio narration as well as text highlight to help young readers engage and improve reading.
This storybook app also gives you a chance to review the days of the week as well as onomatopoeia with splat, splash, whoosh… each one displays on screen along with sounds.
The only downside of the app …it does not offer navigation so you will need to swipe each page. Although Fun Educational Apps liked the audio and text highlight, it would be nice to have the choice to turn it on or off so young reader can read on their own.
Overall, Super Harry’s Rotten Luck is a nice storybook app with a great story where kids learn that when everything goes wrong taking actions can make things change. It is fun and full of humour and offers a great way to review the days of the weeks as well as onomatopoeia.
