With the launch of Planet Boing, Tribal Nova is now offering a complete unique learning program for iPad where each app caters for a specific learning area and then all your kids progress are centralised via 1 central app. Pretty smart!
How does it work?
First, download Planet Boing, (free!) the central app to your kids learning. It is the home planet of Boing, a funky and friendly alien. The planet is like a big playground for your kids with incredibly engaging free play environment filled with music, interactivity, and bright, colourful animations. Your kids will have fun create Boing Aliens. Kids can choose and personalize their characters … change the look of the head, body, hands and feet, add accessories. As kids play the learning apps from the i Learn series they collect rewards that are added to Boing’s treasure chest. The more they learn, the more rewards they get to play with in the free-play zone on Planet Boing.
Planet Boing is the free-play area for the kids and as parents it is your control center where you have access to a tracking system that shows the progress of each child in the various educational games from each of the apps in the i Learn With program.
Want your kids to learn? Simply download any app from the series. Each app is independent from each other but all progress are centralized on Planet Boing!

i Learn With Boing: Ice land adventures! HD, to learn about literacy. It offers three adaptive, self-levelling literacy games that teach children about letters, phonics and spelling.

What Fun Educational Apps Likes!
The “i Learn series” has taken a new turn and provides a complete curriculum-oriented learning programs for children ages 3-6 where your kids can play to learn various subject and as parents you can follow their progress via the Parent Center, a personalized tracking system that shows the progress of each child in the various educational games from each of the apps within the i Learn With program. Quite smart!
The new apps are bright, colourful, fun and highly educational. They offer a lot more interaction and will engage your kids in a fun learning journey. We loved the free-play area on Planet Boing. It allows kids to be creative and imaginative. It offers a lot of features that will for sure keep the kids engaged and entertained for hours.
The other concept that we liked is the reward system. It is very well designed. Each learning app is separate and independent from the play area. Kids learn, get rewards in one place and then move to a new setting for the fun, creative and imaginary play. Note, in order to get the full benefit of the play area and the parent control Center you need to register.
The only suggestion we have would be to child proof the parents area access with a double click to prevent little ones from accessing external links with the app.
Overall, the “i Learn With” series is a top new and innovative concept. It manages to combine learning and play in a unique way. All apps are well designed, easy to use, fun and engaging. The latest addition, Planet Boing and Ice Land Adventure are top and the perfect example of how the learning on the iPad can be fun and interactive! You guessed right ... It is a TOP PICK for Fun Educational Apps and we are looking forward to more app in the series!
