Counting Numbers 123 HD offers 5 activities where kids learn to count from 1 to 10 and practice simple addition and subtraction. It allows kids to interact by dragging or popping balloons. The app is bright, colourful and engages the little ones.
The app is easy to use and navigate. Kids can drag balloons to count, an activity that strengthens the concept of 1 more. For the first activity, kids just need to tap on the forward button on the left hand side of the screen. Your kids might need your help to find the button. The adding and subtracting activities will help your kids practice basic math facts. Once they have dragged or popped the right number of balloons, an answer box display. From there your kids need to drag the correct answer to the math fact.
After learning kids enjoys a fun and entertaining song with polar bears and penguin a sure way to let your kids have fun with counting.
Some suggestions for the developer, Little Learning Tots, would be for the first activity. It would be great to make the “forward” button different, maybe bigger or separate from the other function as it might be confusing for the little ones. If possible, we would also suggest to make the "more from us" button less accessible for kids by using a double (or triple) click to ensure kids stays within the app.
Overall, Counting 123 HD is a nicely designed app that will entertain and teach your kids basic math via interactive activities. Friendly and entertaining it will let you kids learn the fun way!
