Richard Galbraith's Cartoon Workshop 1: Top Creative iPad App

Richard Galbraith's Cartoon Workshop 1Richard Galbraith's Cartoon Workshop 1 is a top creative iPad app for kids to learn how to draw cartoon heroes, villains, animals, funky food and much more. It offers an original concept where kids learn via the iPad and practice with the traditional pen and paper! Get the pens and paper out and be ready for some creative fun learning!

Richard Galbraith's Cartoon Workshop 1: Learn to draw cartoon characters!

Drawing has always been a top kid Favourite. It keeps children busy and stimulates their creativity. For those kids that want to go one step further and learn how draw cartoon characters including heroes, villains, food or animals, Fun Educational Apps strongly suggest you have a look at Richard Galbraith's Cartoon Workshop 1.

On opening the app, your kids are welcome with “What will you draw today?” From there, it is easy.

Your kids simply tap on one of the 6 categories: Simple – Heroes – Villains – Animals – Cute – Funky Food. Let’s imagine your kids tap on Villains (my kids 1st choice!). They will see 12 creatures. Select one and that's it … ready to learn how to draw. Make sure to give your kids pens and paper and follow each steps of the lesson. In no time … you will be amazed at what they will draw!

What Fun Educational Apps Liked

To start with I must say that Richard Galbraith's Cartoon Workshop 1 was the best example of how iPad apps can make parents life a lot easier! Just before I reviewed this creative app, my youngest son was telling me that he wished he knew how to draw and was asking for help! My drawing skills are not great and any help welcome!

Richard Galbraith's Cartoon Workshop 1 was ideal! It offers so many ideas:

6 categories X 12 cartoons each time = a total of 72 cartoons

Enough to find something your kids will like!

It is very easy to use and for each cartoon kids can learn step by step.

We like the concept where kids use the iPad to learn but still use a pen and paper to create. The kids at Fun Educational Apps have drawing books but liked the iPad version better. It makes it more engaging and entertaining.

Another feature that you and your kids will like is the “Tip” section. It shows the 4 most important features you need to use to give expression to characters and shows how changing one element in the drawing process affect the mood of your characters! The kids had fun and drew a lot of different faces!

The only addition we would suggest is adding audio instruction so the youngest artist can follow even without knowing how to read!

Overall, Richard Galbraith's Cartoon Workshop 1 is a top creative app to teach your kids how to draw cartoon characters. It is well designed, easy to use, and offers clear step by step instructions. The app acts as a learning support and kids use pens, paper and erasers to express their creativity! We liked it and hope you will do to.

Richard Galbraith's Cartoon Workshop 1 is available for download via the iTunes App Store - iPad Only

If your kids want to learn to draw more cartoon characters, there is also Richard Galbraith's Cartoon Workshop 2 to learn how to draw

Richard Galbraith is an author, illustrator and artist with over 30 years’ experience. He is famous for his illustrated picture books, Australian koala Christmas cards, and his ever popular 'How to Draw' books.
