Phonics and Reading Lite is a high quality learning app. It offers well-structured lessons based on the McGuffey Primer books. Each lesson offers interactive scene and audio features. Kids learn using visuals a well as audio. The content is educational, offers great potential and well suited to use in the classroom or within a home-schooling program. It is an app that falls into the learning categories. It does not offer many fun gimmicks as other apps do but does offer a solid interactive support for learning! Fun Educational Apps would recommend that you go over it with your kids.
The navigation can be tricky for the little one and they will need guidance and supervision. To know when to use the blue and red arrow on the left hand side, make sure kids listen to the spoken instruction. (A great addition for further update would be to label the arrows!). It is well structured and offers impressive learning opportunities. Follow each lesson and you will see your kids starting to recognise all letters and take their first steps in learning how to read. Other features we really liked are the practice sessions and quizzes. I am sure your kids will love placing the right letters on the truck and watch it move away or tap the correct word to see the train move. Nice interactive features to validate learning.
Overall, if you want to teach your kids to learn how to read, Phonics and Reading Lite offers all what you need. A full hands-on approach that combines visual, audio and practice via fully structured lessons. It is design to support learning and does offer a fun playful setting as some app will do...ideal to use in the classroom or for home-schooling programs.
