Includes intriguing illustrations, with narration by Edson Hendricks.

What Fun Educational Apps Liked
The story is fascinating and the way it has been translated into an app is engaging and captivating. There is quite a lot of reading to do so we enjoyed the audio feature and recommend you use it. Please note that it is an enhanced eBook app. It does not offer interactive features or fun games. It has been designed as an educational book for children 8 to 12 who can read on their own and it encourages them to investigate and explore all the backstory materials. It is also great for anyone with an interest in Internet history and inventing.
Some may argue that it does not offer enough interactive features, that it should go into more details …. At Fun Educational Apps we see it as an opportunity for our kids to learn and expand their knowledge. The kids liked learning about Internet, how it all started. They listened to the story from beginning to end. They were engaged and fascinated.
It is written by Leanne Jones and not too technical so very easy for the age group to understand. Besides the amazing true story the kids liked all the additional information. After listening to the story, they went on further and enjoyed exploring all the extra backstory information (videos, audio interviews, research, documents, etc.) on bullying, clever minds and the invention of the Internet… we ended up having a very interesting family discussion.
Finally, Fun Educational Apps likes the message being passed on where kids can see that one can be different, lacking confidence or even being bullied … if you are convinced you have something special, it is worth fighting for it. Convincing people with new, innovative and original ideas is never easy but perseverance and self-confidence can sometimes make a difference and the life of Edson Hendricks is the perfect example!
Overall, Cool to be Clever is a must have book app for any kids curious to know more about internet. We at Fun Educational Apps really enjoyed it. It allowed the kids to learn about a fascinating subject internet, allowed them to explore additional information and most of all it told them that if you strongly believe in something … Don’t give up!
