CookieCoo Dancing Star is a fun musical app where kids learn popular educational songs while developing a sense of rhythm and coordination. When opening the app kids tap on the play button and select one of the six songs available. Then 3 more steps:
Select your level –easy – medium - hard.
Select your instrument; there are 6 to choose from
Select one of the adorable cookie characters.
That’s it … your kids are all set for some great fun.
When the music starts, notes fall from the top of the screen and kids need to tap on the instrument at the bottom at the right time. Tap with the right rhythm … they will get a “perfect", just on time … it’s a ‘good’ and too late … it’s a ‘bad’.
The app comes with 6 titles and includes Hokey Pokey; Head Shoulder Knees and Toes; This is the Way we Wash our Face; Oats, Peas and Beans; Apple and Bananas; Who Took the Cookies from the Cookie Jar.
You can unlock other sets of songs via in-app purchase and includes Animals, Colour, Number or Toys.

CookieCoo Dancing Star is a fun musical app and ideal for the little ones. It is bright, colourful, entertaining and engaging and will for sure provide kids with hours of fun!
The app is well designed and offers young children a great chance to play a rhythm-based game like the big ones but with song appropriate for the age group. The characters are cute and inviting and kids will love watching them dance.
The game offers many different setting to suits various need. Younger children can just listen and watch. If they want to play there are 3 different levels of increasing difficulty. With the easy mode, notes always fall on the instrument in the middle. Other levels require more attention and coordination.
Although the kids at Fun Educational Apps are into more up beat music style, they had a go and thought it was a cool replica for the little ones. The first level is easy and the others offer just the right level of challenge for the young ones.
We like the song selection where all songs offer a bit of education. We did not try the locked level but like the idea of more educational songs to learn about colours, numbers, animal ... Please note that all these extra sets are available via in-app purchase. Remember - if you let your little ones play with your devices, make sure to turn off in- app purchase via the setting menu.
Overall, CookieCoo Dancing Star is a really great musical app game app for the little ones. It is easy to use, fun and entertaining. It helps kids develop a sense for rhythm and coordination. It is very engaging and by playing it over and over again you can be sure your kids learn these popular songs.
