Transparent Earth is a fun app that helps the kids imagine the world on the globe. Although it is designed for entertainment purposes only, it can give the kids a general sense of directions. The kids at Fun Educational Apps liked the 3D reality camera and had fun standing and turning holding their iPod (works also on iPhone and iPad) watching the 3D map. They managed to point at the North pole and South pole and where imagining the position of various countries. Play around and tilt your iOS devices to view the name of continents, countries and major cities.
