Butterfly Brunch is the latest math app from Primary Apps. It has been designed to help kids use coordinates via a fun and simple interface. Kids can select to work with a one quadrant or for quadrants grids. The app shows a coordinate and your kids or student simply need to move the butterfly to the corresponding point on the grid.
To work out Butterfly Brunch it’s easy:
- Find your way around the grid to help feed the butterfly.
- Every answer that you get correct, will let Colin the caterpillar crawl a little further up the flower.
- When you've moved the butterfly, click 'FEED' to see if you have placed him on the correct coordinate.
- When 10 answers have been answered correctly, Colin will transform himself into a butterfly and fly away!

Coordinate Pairs are one thing our curriculum doesn't teach but is tested on in the state test. This would be a wonderful way to expose my students and get them to practice without loosing instructional time.

This would be a great app to use in my classroom to help strengthen their skills in this area.

We are currently in the middle of our geometry unit. I teach special ed. and use a variety of different ways to present information. Having this app would be a neat way to practice coordinate graphing. I could also use it on the class iPad as an independent math center. Thanks.
