If you are looking for a top storybook app for your kids for this summer then Ug: A Prehistoric Adventure is one that Fun Educational Apps would highly recommend.
Ug is a little boy from the Stone Age. One day his parents Mamug and Papug tell him that he must go to school, but Ug thinks he knows it better and decides to follow his own path!
Ug leaves home and starts his own school with his newly found animal friends but soon they all leave him and Ug start to learn that life is not as easy as he thought. Alone and lost Ug must now swallow his pride and somehow find a way back to the ones he loves most.

At Fun Educational Apps, we have been seduced by Ug: A Prehistoric Adventure. It is original, refreshing, entertaining and top quality. The kids at Fun Educational Apps loved the charming cave-speak prose. At first they were a bit surprise but soon realized that prehistoric kids were probably speaking in a different way. Cave-speak adds a cute twist to the story.
The hand painted illustrations are gorgeous and the animations are easy to find and bring extra entertainment for the kids. All interaction, sound and animation are story driven. All of them have been design to encourage, stimulate and inspire children. The kids’ favourite part is the cave man discussion when Ug meets another tribe. They found it hilarious and were laughing out loud.
After reading the book kids liked the finger painting section. It keeps children entertained long after that story ends.
Overall, we really like Ug: A Prehistoric Adventure. It is a new type of storybook app that offers a great storyline, top illustration and animation, great humour and most of all it tells a great message about life. An original book app developed by Ice Cream Fine Storybooks, founded by brother-sister duo Kate and Patrick Buss. Kate provides the illustration and Patrick writes and program and both embarked “on this wonderful adventure, to bring to life a digital blend of the old and modern, with just a pinch of humour thrown in for good measure.”
A must have storybook app for your iLibrary and another best app for kids joining Fun Educational Apps list of favourites!

To be honest, I thought that all these apps were quite useless till I tried it myself. My daughter has become very much interested in Kinder Hangman iPhone Game. This is an educational app that helps children with their vocabulary and communication skills. I have seen the results. My little Alice has enlarged her vocabulary a great deal due to this game.
