Punflay, a developer specialising in fun educational apps, has recently launched The Vitamin Adventure of Don and Flip – A fun interactive storybook apps for iPad for kids from kindergarten to third grade that helps teaching kids all about vitamins.
As parents we all want to be able to let our kids know about healthy food and vitamins. We tell them to eat fruits and vegetable because it is healthy but do we always tell them about vitamins.
I found this new storybook app - The Vitamin Adventure of Don and Flip – a great way to approach the subject with the little ones, and explain them how vitamins are an important part of our daily diet.
The story is about Don and Flip, 2 friendly bird characters perched on a tree. Each mini story leads to one vitamin and brings up a mini game where kids are asked to catch fruits or vegetable before they fall on the ground. Each time kids collect an items, their vitamin power goes up. Once they have enough Vitamin power, they can find out more about the vitamin they acquired.
Kids, then move on and discover in which food they can find each of the vitamin and what these vitamins can do to help maintain a good healthy eating habits. Dan and Flip help toddlers and preschoolers discover 6 vitamins: vitamin A, B, C, D, E, K, in which type of food they can be found and what are the benefits.
